EQUIPMENT
Above All Photography utilizes only the best photographic equipment in producing our images.
Oblique aerial photographs and architectural photographs are taken with the latest professional digital SLR cameras. We couple these cameras with only the finest lenses to ensure that your images are razor-sharp every time. Gyroscopic stabilizers are mounted to our cameras while in flight to eliminate the motion blur commonly seen in aerial images from other photographers.
For our recently introduced aerial video services, we utilize a Panasonic HDX-900 broadcast-quality high definition camera, fixed to a custom-fabricated mount. This full 2/3" DVCPRO HD camcorder records pristine 100Mbps HD images in any of 11 video formats, encompassing both 60Hz and 50Hz production. Versatile and cost-effective, this camera provides higher-quality 4:2:2 intra-frame recording that holds up through layers of special effects, graphic overlays and constant editing and processing.
For vertical aerial photography we use a Jena MRB aerial survey camera. This large-format camera records images on a 9" x 9" color negative, allowing us to photograph both large and small areas at very high resolution. These images can be geo-rectified and mosaiced in our digital photo lab to produce stunning photographic maps of large areas.
Both oblique and vertical aerial photographs are taken from our specially equipped Cessna 206 aircraft. However, if your site requires us to get lower, slower, or closer, we have several helicopters available for our use. For architectural photographs we have the option of using an aerial bucket truck to get a unique, ground-based perspective of a site. See our portfolio for examples.
Large-format printing equipment is available in-house, capable of producing prints up to 44" wide at low costs, allowing us to pass these savings on to you. We also have the capability to mount or laminate these prints.
