Q: During ER Viewer 7.1 setup, I am not sure what to select on the SETUP TYPE screen. What do you suggest?
A: If you would like to use ER Viewer as your default viewer for other image files that you use, you should select those file types here. Most users do not select any boxes here.
Q: Can I locate my site by searching for the address?
A: No, but you can use the locator links to help you locate your site. The best way to locate your site is to first select a locator link that is close to the area you are searching for. Then you can use the hand tool and zoom tools to move around and zoom in on your site.
Q: When I save an image, the file is too big to e-mail, what should I do?
A: When you save as a jpg, a dialog box pops up that allows you to adjust the size of the file you will save. Enter 1000 in the box next to width, tab to the height box and it should automatically adjust. Then click OK. This should create a file of around 500 kb, which is a good size for e-mailing. To obtain an even smaller file, enter a number smaller than 1000.
Q: ER Viewer locks up when I try to print ...
A: If you are using an older version of ER Viewer, you need to install version 7.1 from your disk.
Q: What are the hardware requirements for ER Viewer and for using the disk?
A: The software requires a standard PC. The disk requires a DVD drive.
Q: What operating systems are compatible with ER Viewer 7.1?
A: Windows NT, Windows 2003 Server, Windows XP, Windows 2000 and Windows 98 are all compatible.
